Brand Guidelines for Support Acknowledgement

We appreciate your efforts to credit Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge, as is required by the terms of your Grant Agreement. When acknowledging the funding support of our program, innovators should use the following language and feature the funding acknowledgement logo on major communications materials.

When acknowledging the funding support of Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge, grantees should use the provided language and logo in written and verbal communications materials related to their project, including presentations and publications when referencing the project.

For all Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge projects, please review the requirements below.

Funding Acknowledgement

When acknowledging the funding support of Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge, grantees should use the following language and feature the funding acknowledgment logo on communications materials, including publications and presentations when referencing the project.

Funding Language

The funding recipient will explicitly acknowledge Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge funding, in written and verbal communications about activities related to their project.

When feasible, please accompany the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge logo with the following text:

This Project [or Name of Project] is supported by Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge.

If space permits, please write :

This Project [or Name of Project] is supported by Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge, a partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and Global Affairs Canada, with support from Grand Challenges Canada. 

In verbal communications efforts, such as presentations, keynotes, interviews, or panel discussions, please acknowledge funding from the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge with the following wording:

This Project [or Name of Project] is supported by Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge, a partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and Global Affairs Canada, with support from Grand Challenges Canada. 

 

Funding Acknowledgment Logo

For marking any products or materials for Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge-funded activities, use the provided Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge composite logo.

 

 

This logo is the preferred version and is to be used on light or white coloured backgrounds.

The logo is also available in different formats and colour variations to accommodate different applications and appropriate backgrounds.

 

 

The alternate logo variations are available for situations where it’s necessary to use a simplified version of the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge funding acknowledgement logo or when colour printing is not possible. All partner logos should be included unless there is a strong justification that merits otherwise (please see Branding Exemptions, below).

 

Terms and Conditions of Use

  • Only funding recipients are authorized to use the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge partner funding acknowledgement logo.
  • The logos must be used in accordance with our programs brand guidelines, adhering to requirements with respect to colour and versions.
  • All rights in and to Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge funding acknowledgement remain solely with program.
  • Funding recipients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable license to display the Humanitarian Grand Challenge partner funding acknowledgement logo.
  • All rights in and to the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge partner funding acknowledgment logo remain solely with the Humanitarian Grand Challenge partners. The display of the logo is not to be construed as a transfer of trademark and/or copyrights to the logo.
  • Mis-use of the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge logo by funding recipients’ partners, sub-contractors, or collaborators will ultimately be the responsibility of the funding recipient.
  • The Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge program reserves the right to require funding recipients to cease using the programs funding acknowledgement logo at any time.

 

Branding Exemptions

Exemptions for the use of the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge and partner logos are acceptable if such use would compromise the intrinsic independence or neutrality of a project, or pose a danger to the success of the project and its staff.

Such exemptions for the use of the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge funding acknowledgement logo must be discussed and approved in advance, as per funding recipients’ Grant Agreement.

If an exemption is required, the funding recipient must make a formal request through the Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge program, who will formally notify and request an exception waiver from the Agreement Officer’s Representative if the funding recipient or a sub award will not use Partner branding.
