Founded by refugees Washikala Malango and Iongwa Mashangao, Altech is a pioneering force in the DRC’s off-grid energy market. Leveraging their firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by conflict-affected communities, Altech delivers affordable solar solutions to underserved households. Since its inception in 2013, Altech has transformed over 1 million lives by selling more than 200,000 solar kits and aims to reach 2 million households by 2030, providing sustainable energy and fostering resilience in vulnerable regions.
