Nachiket Deval, Investment Manager

Nachiket Deval is an Investment Manager for the Humanitarian Grand Challenge at Grand Challenges Canada

Prior to joining Grand Challenges Canada, Nachiket founded and led Coeo Labs, a med-tech startup based out of Bangalore, India. At Coeo Labs he developed two, first-in-world technologies called VAPCare and Saans which are now commercially available and have saved hundreds of lives in India.  Being awarded many national and international awards, Coeo Labs was also part of the World Economic Forum’s Tech Pioneers Cohort of 2019.

Nachiket has been a visiting faculty at the National Institute of Design (NID), a premier design school in India and is an expert reviewer for grant applications under the Biotech Ignition Grant (BIG) scheme supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

Nachiket holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the National Institute of Design (India) and a Bachelors’s degree in Production Engineering from the University of Pune (India). He has 2 granted patents and 6 research papers to his credit.
