Pako Tshiamala, Regional Consultant for sub-Saharan Africa

Pako Tshiamala is the regional consultant for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and sub-Saharan Africa, for the Humanitarian Grand Challenge.

Pako builds and maintains relationships with the private sector to help support innovators in conflict zones.  He provides strategic insights to HGC on how to attract local innovators that have the most promising solutions to improve or save lives of people living in the hardest-to reach conflict zones. Pako acts as a brand ambassador to HGC. He engages directly with the media and local contacts in government, the scientific community, business networks, academic institutions, and incubators to raise awareness about HGC funding rounds.

Born and raised in DR Congo, Pako is passionate about poverty alleviation, healthcare, innovation, and enterprise. The work he does through HGC allows him to pursue those passions in a meaningful way. Outside of HGC, Pako is the founder and managing director of PEDLA Consulting Group, a consulting firm that specializes in communications, strategy, and research. Through PEDLA Consulting Group, Pako helps SME’s and global corporations scale their technology solutions across new geographic markets and niches.
